01. Daman
Daman in Gujarat might be popular for greenery, natural beauty or cool beaches but it is popular among youth for the availability of cheap liquor. This beautiful city is rich in culture and heritage. Devka Beach in Daman maintains its pure beauty for everyone. Mirasol Lake Garden in Daman is man’s creativity which has also been used in many shooting locations.
02. Dawarka
Dawarka is an ancient city whose essences can be found in Hindu literature, Bhagavata Purana. Dawarka was believed to be the Kingdom of Lord Krishna. Dawrka has one of the pilgrimage sites in all the chardham which is Dawarkadhish Temple. The important festival celebrated here is birth of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami.
03. Gir National Park
In Gir National Park, Lions are solemn animals that can be spotted roaming freely. Gir National park attained huge popularity being the only place in India where one can find Asiatic Lion. It has a dry climate and deciduous forest which is best suited for the Habitat of Lion. This place is also home to exotic species of birds, reptiles and other animals.
04. Diu
Diu is an old fishing town, famous for its old Portuguese cathedral and fortress. This island has white sand beaches. Attractive beaches here are Nagoa beach, Ghogla beach, Jallandhar beach, Chakratirth beach and Gomtimata Beach. Diu fort is a masterpiece of architecture and one of the most visited destination of Diu.
05. Statue of Unity
Created in the recent history, Statue of Unity stands out to be the World’s tallest statue. It is 182 meters tall and showcases Indian architecture. Statue of Unity was made in the memory of “Iron Man of India”, Sardar Valabhbhai Patel. This impressive landmark was constructed in only 46 months.
06. Gandhinagar
Located on the bank of river Sabarmati Gandhinagar stands out to be the capital city of Gujrat. It was a pre-planned city, planned by Prakash M Apte and H.K. Mewada. Gandhinagra’s unexplored beauty can be estimated by the presence of Akshardham temple, which is the biggest temple in India. Akshardham Temple is spread in 23-acre and is a major pilgrim center in the city.
