Barafsar Lake trek begins from the last village of Kashmir Valley towards the north-east. The village is name is Sarbal Village and is well known for doormen that take enthusiasts to the blessed Amaranth cave. The trek has three elevated lakes on its course, and one being the most noteworthy Lake – the highest altitude (4605m) Alpine lake in Kashmir.
Its best feauture is that it takes you to the highest altitude lake of Kashmir called Barafsar Lake. The trek has breathtaking landscape and gives the panoramic view of the tallest mountains of Kashmir. This includes the Highest Peak Of Kashmir – Kolahoi mountain.
In transit, one encounters two snow-capped glades, Kolahoi Pass (most noteworthy in Sindh valley), six icy mass beds, and Thajiwas untamed life asylum.
The best time to do the Barafsar Lake Trek is during the months of June, July, August, and September as the harshness of winter is left behind, and trials clear up considerably. The temperature ranges from 15 to 20 degrees during the daytime and dips to about -2 to 5 during nights. Drive from Srinagar to Sarbal Village.
The drive is rewarding. It starts from Sringar and then enters Ganderbal Distrcitct. The road is beside famous Sindh river. The last village of Kashmir Province before it merges with Ladakh. An overnight stay at Sarbal Village.
Depart to Sarbal village via Sonamarg early morning at 8.30 am, ( please end your breakfast at the inn). It is a 4-hour drive from Srinagar. After having lunch at Sonamarg, we will continue our subsequent adventure to Sarbal village. After having a quick briefing, we will start the three hours of trek to beautiful Durinar meadows. This meadow is surrounded by towering cliffs and flowing glaciers. You can see shepherds here with their sheep and goats. The delivery can be organized from Srinagar to Sarbal village.
Overnight stay will be arranged in tents. Dinner will be served and some fun activities will be organized
After breakfast, we start our next journey to Durinar lake. Your trek starts off-evolved with steep climbs and retains alongside a well-described uphill route to Durinar Lake. The stroll is surrounded by meadows and towering snow peaks. A crystal blue lake is found to be harbored in a giant granite rock. We pitch our tents at an area that serves as summit camp for 2 excellent alpine peaks. Also, you could see a trail to Kolahoi pass. Overnight stay in tents. Dinner will be served and fun activities will be organized.
Today we begin early as we can be attaining the highest point of the trek. The day will start with sluggish ascends and descends. We trek further up to view Nilnag lake after which we will push similarly 350 meters parallel to a Glacier until we reach the very best alpine lake called Barafsar Lake. The lake starts getting its shades while the sun shines. On a clear sunny morning, the water is actually blue. To the extreme, we will locate Mount Valehead and Kazim ridge at the left facet. We will relish a few picturesque views and then descend again to Durinar camp, in a single day stay in tents.

We will set up the car to reach Srinagar for all individuals at the same time. If anyone wants to stay (more days) at Sonamarg they can stay. However, later they have to set up their own vehicle.
