After breakfast head to Nubra valley via Khardungla You will be driven via the world& #39; highest civilian motorable pass, Khardung La. Drive to the white sand dunes of Hundar, where you will enjoy a double-humped camel ride Check-in at the hotel/camp/guesthouse in Nubra Valley If time permits, visit the magnificent Diskit Monastery Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley
This morning after breakfast. Drive to Turtuk, the northernmost village of India after Murgo Village. Located in the Nubra Valley, on the banks of Shyok River and 2.5km from the LOC. The route takes the visitor past the picturesque villages of Shey and Thiksey and turns off the Indus valley by the side valley of Chemrey and Shakti. Return to the guest house in Nubra. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.
Post breakfast. Drive to Pangong Tso Lake via Shyok. The route takes the visitor past the picturesque villages of Shey and Thiksey and turns off the Indus valley by the side valley of Chemrey and Shakti. Pangong Tso is a magnificent high-altitude alpine lake. It is also an endorheic lake (meaning it doesn’t flow out into the sea). It is situated at an altitude of almost 14,000 ft, 134km long, and is divided into 5 beautiful sub-lakes. Spend some time here at the lake soaking in the beauty of this majestic lake. It is also known to change it's color 4-5 times in a day depending on the sun’s reflection. We will stay overnight at Pangong
After spending a night under the starry skies and waking up to the beautiful view of Pangong lake, we will have breakfast early in the morning. Traversing through Chang La Pass (17,800 ft), which is one of the highest passes in the world, we will head back to Leh. En route, we will visit the Shey Palace which is popular for its 12-meter-tall gold-gilded statue of Buddha. We will also pay our respects at Thiksey Monastery, which is the largest Monastery in Central Ladakh. Upon reaching Leh, we will check into our designated hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night. Highlights of the day: Chang La, Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery. Note: Visiting Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery are subject to time.
