Join us on the Poon Hill trek in Nepal and experience the magic of the Annapurna region. Walk through scenic mountain villages, explore the culture of the native people, and witness one of the most spectacular sunrises from the top of Poon Hill on this 9-day trek.
The journey takes you to the north-western region of Pokhara, where you’ll traverse scenic trails and visit beautiful temples and monasteries. The trail leads through lush valleys at the base of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountain ranges, passing through verdant hills covered in rhododendrons, pine, oak, and birch trees.
Starting in Kathmandu, we drive to Pokhara to begin our adventure. The initial route leads through terraced fields of rice and mustard, offering amazing views of high peaks like Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. Continuing through the lush forest, we reach Ghorepani.
The highlight of the trip is reaching the top of Poon Hill (3210m), where you’ll be rewarded with an enchanting sunrise and stunning vistas of imposing peaks like Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, and more.
The trek concludes in the beautiful village of Ghandruk, where you’ll experience the lifestyle of the Gurung people and learn about their traditional practices and unique culture. You can also visit the Gurung Museum to see artifacts, dresses, and other items used by the Gurung people.
After passing through Pokhara again, we return to Kathmandu on the eighth day to end this incredible trek. This easy trek doesn’t require any special skills and is preferred by both seasoned hikers and beginners alike.
