• Pick-up location - srinagar Tourist Reception Center at
11:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Drive:- 4 hrs, Srinagar to Aru
• Srinagar to Pahalgam 100 km pahalgam to Aru 12 km
• Aru is on the bank of Lidder River
• Since there are no shops around ensure that you have all
that you need already
• Please note that prepaid SIM cards do not work in
Kashmir
• Pahalgam is the last point where you will get mobile
network
• Last ATM is in Pahalgam
• Stay in guest house/home stay
/tents at aru.Dinner will be provided.

● Trek will be covered in 6-7 hours
● Terrain is Easy and pleasant uphill ascent.

● Altitude from 2783M (9131ft) To 3365 M (11039ft)
● Altitude gain 582M (1910ft.)
● 12 kms Trek.
● Cover a distance of 6-7 km in approximately 5-6 hours.
● There will be a lot of ascending and then crossing a river
in between and some connecting plain terrains.
● Reach the clearing of Hamvas by following the river-side
half an hour later
● After this, the ascent is a little steeper and as you gain
altitude, by the hour, you will enter a forest of silver birch
also known as Bhoj trees. These trees are considered very
old in the region.
● The Shekiwas is an undulating meadow-land, reached by
meandering paths crossing two green valleys and
surrounded by dark snow patched mountains.
● This is one of the best camping sites of the Tarsar Marsar
trek.
● Hot lunch at campsite.

● Altitude from 3365 M (11039ft) to 3794M (12449ft).
● Altitude gain 429M (1407ft.)
● Ascend a distance of 5 km which would take 5 hours to
complete.
● Here, the path to Tarsar takes on a ridge on top of the stream.
● Cross the stream with the help of fastened rocks and
boulders and then finally on the grassland of tremendous
Tarsar, the campsite of the day.
● Altitude from 3794M (12449ft) to 3946 M (12946ft).
● Altitude gain 152 M (499ft.)
● Duration: 5 hours, 5 km
● The other views of Tarsar are spellbinding and the
stretches of the grassy valley will leave you speechless.
● This valley leads to the meadows of Shekwas.
● Start descending through the shepherds’ trail which
will take you to the middle of the valley.
● Walk along the stream on the beautiful velvet-like
grass.
● Reach the base of the ridge by crossing a stream with
the help of boulders, and ascend for 15 minutes
through a narrow valley to reach the ridge top.
● Surprisingly a wide meadow pops in front with a
colorful bed of flowers. The views are enthralling from
here and the end route of the Tarsar Marsar trek is
also visible with a trail leading to mountains
● Altitude: 12,946 ft (3,946 m) to 13,201 ft / 4,024 m (Marsar Ridge) to
11,500 ft (3,505 m)
● Duration 12kms , 7 hours
● Pass along the shores of Sundersar Lake to get through two passes
from where you can reach Marsar.
● Visit marsar and descend back to sundersar.
● Spend some time at Sundersar valley and get back to Jagmargi valley to
witness the grasslands again and admire the natural beauty.
● Reach sekiwass and have delicious food after the days long trek.Night

● Duration: 7 hours, 14 kms
● Descend from Homwas to Lidderwat then to Aru.
● From aru drive back to srinagar
