Overview
The Valley of Flowers Trek is one of India’s most breathtaking Himalayan journeys, located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this high-altitude alpine valley sits at around 3,600 meters and comes alive during the monsoon with thousands of rare Himalayan flowers in full bloom.
The trek begins from Govindghat and passes through Ghangaria before entering the valley. It is considered a moderate-level trek, suitable for beginners with decent fitness. Many trekkers also combine it with the spiritual and scenic Hemkund Sahib trek for a complete Himalayan experience.
